Sectoral alternative practitioner

At Physios Köln, we have the additional qualification "Sectoral alternative practitioner for physiotherapy". This means that, as physiotherapists, we can and are authorised to diagnose illnesses. We are professionally trained in this. Of course, this is limited to our area of responsibility with physiotherapeutic procedures and the associated clinical pictures.

This has several advantages for you:

1.

Save yourself long waiting times and detours via the specialist: you can book an appointment with us directly. Even without a prescription or referral, you can start therapy with us now.

2.

Our team takes care of the examination, diagnosis and treatment - all under one roof. We can take our time and respond to your symptoms individually. And we make sure that everything is coordinated and that you receive the strategy that you really need. This close collaboration allows the full potential of physiotherapy to unfold.

3.

Your therapy concept will be as individualised as you need and want it to be, without prescribed clauses and time restrictions. Because we work out everything together with you - from measures and scope to frequency.

4.

No time wasted on the subject of health: you can be satisfied and happy with your therapy with noticeable and lasting results.

Does health insurance cover physiotherapy costs?

Unfortunately, statutory health insurance companies do not cover physiotherapy treatment if you come to us without a doctor's prescription. However, in some cases the costs can be reimbursed even without a prescription: With private supplementary insurance or if you come to us as a private patient.

As a non-medical practitioner for physiotherapy, we offer non-medical practitioner services that can be covered. The prerequisite: The insurance contract must list these as reimbursable. The invoices (drawn up in accordance with the scale of fees for alternative practitioners) can then be claimed as medical treatment.

Some statutory health insurance companies now also offer suitable supplementary insurance policies that can cover the costs. It's best to ask your insurance company about this!
